Wonderful to hear all about the projects and how well some of them are doing and also to hear about daily life among the people there. Your work is immensely valuable and you must feel very proud to be able to achieve so much. Having been in Kumi myself this year, I know how difficult conditions are there and I admire you tremendously for what you are doing. Carole is so looking forward to spending time with you and you will get on really well as she is a kindred spirit. I see that you are able to receive emails so I'll send one. All the very best for the rest of your time there. Val

Not enough time just now to read the whole diary, but I get the flavour! My wife is a retired Physio and your article in the CSPRA Newsletter of September has alerted me that you are working in Ngora.
I am a retired water engineer and one of the Directors of a British NGO Christian Engineers in Devlopment. A few years ago we helped design and supervise the restoration of the water supply to Ngora from the Agu river. Your article is a nice testimony that the scheme works and is appreciated - also that maybe you qualify for CED membership yourself!
I have personally never been to Kumi, but I visit Gulu at least once a year and have also helped water supply at Kitalya prison farm, between Kampala and Hoima.
It would be good to keep in touch if (and only if) that helps you.

Angela tells me when you text so I know you have had a problem with your foot and hope it is imprioving. Christine came north last week-end and Angela and I caught up with her re AIC matters. She is a calming and re-assuring influence I must say and we benefitted from her wisdom and suggestions as to the direction we should all be heading in! We had my nephews 21st in Gateshead which was a huge success and Kevin(Frances' "friend") stayed the week-end - again!!!!! Prayers are being answered left, right and centre at the moment as Frances is now letting Max have instruction towards making his First Communion next year. Chris and I are having him to ourselves this week-end as Frances is going to stay with Kevin. Max will go down with her the week-end after and then he is coming to Darlington the week-end after that as Max has his Christmas play at school which he wants to attend! Plans are going very well for the DePaul lunch and I have sold about 18 tickets - it will be lovely to see you there and long to hear mopre of your marvellous deeds!!! With love and prayers, Lynne x
